More places to stay in Scotland

We’ve been very lucky to find some special places to stay over the years and here are a couple below that we think are really great. We’ve also added a map to give an idea of where they are from us, all around 3 hours drive in blocks of time and what a great slice of Highland scenery you could experience if you were to take a round trip such as this.

Just 3 and 1/2 hours North from us with an awesome drive through Rannoch Moor and Glencoe then a short ferry ride to Ardgour.

Our other friends in the north are just off the main A9 Perth to Inverness road in the heart of Highland Perthshire, 3 hours or so drive from us too. The award winning Killicrankie Hotel is a wonderfully cosy and relaxed small hotel run by Henrietta Fergusson close to Pitlochry, Dunkeld and Blair Atholl and a great staging post for onward or return travel.
