Mighty Oaks from little acorns grow … so the saying goes.

We're starting small but hope to be enjoying the growing process along with our lovely healthy trees !

Why are we selling trees ? We have joined forces with John Hunter of Stairway Trees to offer a range of trees that our guests can take away as a lasting souvenir of their trip.  We will also be able to supply trees for the garden to order that can be collected from our premises.  We will not be open to the public daily but if you are interested in our trees please give us, Alasdair or Andrea, a call and make an appointment. 01465 861148.  We will be happy to help you with advice on planting and will put some further information on the blog in due course.

As the Chinese proverb says  “ The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. The second best time is now.”

The reason we were inspired to sell trees from Stairway is that when we first met John we knew he felt the same as us about trees. He and Stairway have been involved with the innovative Superoots Air-Pot since its introduction. He values trees; cares about them and has duly created the worlds first 100% Air-Pot grown tree nursery.  He is producing healthy trees for future generations to enjoy and benefit from. We all feel that trees are an investment in the future.

John has shown us the whole process of tree growing from seed to mature plants.

•The Air-Pot is made of recycled HDPE (as in milk cartons).

Here’s  a short video below to help explain exactly what the Superoots Air-Pot does and why we like them :
