Postal Address and Directions

We like to think we are in another world here – a little Brigadoon! However, we are in fact only an hour and a half from Glasgow and if you are coming from Ireland less than an hour from Stranraer.

Our address is :
Alton Albany Farm, Albany Road, Barr, Near Girvan, Ayrshire, Scotland KA26 0TL

Add your address or post code to this map for directions and you should  find us alright (click the word map).

If you are sending a cheque to us for a deposit please make it out to me, Alasdair Currie, thank you!

Beware if you are using a GPS to drive to our farm please don’t follow the last instructions up a steep hill. For some reason most GPS systems get this wrong!

Please don’t hesitate to contact us if you get a little lost – but note we don’t have mobile signal available within about a 2-3 mile radius. Don’t worry – we can hook you up to our  booster when you’re here and we have free range wifi!

From Glasgow International Airport we are approximately  1 & 1/2 hours.

The main road that you will follow is the M77 to Kilmarnock/Ayr from the M8 (which runs past the airport). The M77 becomes the A77 at Ayr and you follow this main road all the way to Girvan. At Girvan take the first left at the large roundabout  on the B734 to Barr Village. Please do look out for the signs at Old Dailly which point to Barr up a steep hill on the right. Follow the B734 all the way over the hill and down into the village over a hump back bridge. Take the next bridge on the immediate right and follow for an 1/8th of a mile. We are signposted on a tight left bend within site of the village, you can’t miss us and our two beautiful copper beech trees !
